Lady In the Water

A lot of people told me that this wasn't a good movie but I had to see it for my self, because it's an M. Night Shyamalan movie. I though it was pretty good, Shyamalan tries to create stories that haven't been used in movies before and I think thats why many people didn't like it. This movie always keeps you guessing, that's one of the things I like about it. The "scary" parts of this movie make you jump but it's not scary like horror film scary. Overall it's pretty good, if you are a fan of M. Night Shyamalan, go see this movie.

Cars

I WILL be buying this movie... not only did I like it but my parents did too. Larry the Cable Guy was Hillarious! The story was excellent but then again so are all Pixar movies. I love Owen Wilson's voice, it wouldn't have been as good without him. Go see this movie I guarantee it will be worth it, you will like it. Cars also includes the voices of Bonnie Hunt, Richard Petty, Michael Keaton, Paul Newman, and Paul Shalue (from Monk) and Cheech Whats his face from tv. See this in theaters before it leaves, the sound of the race cars is like being at the race!

My Super Ex- Girlfriend

Right after I saw this movie my first thought was, that was a little stupid, then I gave it some thought and it wasn't that bad. It was pretty funny and Luke Wilson looks SO GOOD in it! I didn't know, coming into the movie that they actually had Uma Thurman playing a superhero, I figured was just really strong. I would see this one again but you don't necessarily have to see it in theaters but its a funny movie to watch in a "funny- stupid" way.

You, Me and Dupree

Not the best of movies but it was kinda funny! I thought Kate Hudson was really good as usual but Matt Dillon who played her husband was not hot enough! Owen Wilson was funny but he did a scene I would have rather not seen. I probably won't buy this one, it drug on and was very repetitive. Overall I would suggest renting this one if that!

Superman Returns

This is my second favorite movie, right under Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl!!! I'm not even sure if I saw the first Superman but as long as you know something about Superman, there is no need to see it, the second one makes sense without the first. This movie starts where the other one left off. I thought the acting was really good in this one, Superman and Clark Kent are like two different people. The special effects in this movie are so realistic if people flew without planes you'd think he was really flying. The story was good and different from the rest, and although it is a three hour movie, it doesn't have a lot of "fluff" and gets to the point. There was never a boring moment in Superman Returns, especially when he is shirtless!!! This is probably the best movie this summer!

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN'S CHEST

I had all hopes that this one would be better than the first one... I got myself all worked up and excited so all the opinions of this movie are based on me being a little disappointed!

I'll start off by saying that this is a good movie, the graphics were every bit as good as the first one. I love how they made Davy Jones look and most of the crew was pretty cool looking also. I think that they really tried hard to make this movie funny, a little too hard, unlike the first where it was suddle almost "ad-lib" funny parts. The story was good, the Krackin was really cool but the bad guys weren't mean enough for me. I didn't care for the character Norrington played in this one but he might redeem himself in the third. I also did not care for Elizabeth's character all that much but that is probably because she got to make out with Johnny Depp!!!!!!The part that made me stop breathing for a while was the ending, I LOVE the ending to this movie... I still cannot wait till the next one! And although this whole thing is on the negative side.. This is a GOOD movie, I'm a little tougher on this one because it is the sequel to my favorite movie!
