The Prestige

I had been exited about this movie sense I saw the previews, yes mainly because Christian Bale is it, but also because I love movies about the impossible like super heros, fairy tales and real magic. Although The Prestige had a very good cast (I love Hugh Jackman and Michael Cain but mainly Christian Bale), it was a little boring, it had too many flashbacks and too much anticipation, not enough comic relief. Thinking back on it, it's kind of like a magic trick, it keeps us guessing till the very end except in this movie the trick is revealed. From the previews I expected more of an inhuman magician which may have made it better! I hope this is one of those movies that I think about so long that it makes me want to see it again, maybe I will like this one after a while, I hope so because I love the cast! I wouldn't recommend seeing this one in theaters, but maybe as a renter.

The Guardian

Good movie! It makes you want to be a rescue swimmer. The scenes that showed nothing but huge waves no shore in sight, were so awesome, I would love to see that in real life. This movie had a good balance of seriousness and funny parts. The acting was good, which surprised me because for a long time I thought of Ashton Kutcher as an MTV boozer who thinks he is "all that" but he well and if I didn't know any better, I wouldn't have realized what he use to act like. Most of this film is the A-school where the newbee's are taught all the rescue skills. I thought it would be mostly out on the water saving people. Its more of a story of Fischer (Kutcher) learning what he needs to become a rescue swimmer, rather than him rescuing a bunch of people. Its good, go see it!

Man I haven't seen a movie in a long time... I'm going Saturday though so never fear!!! Welp next Thursday I will be 20 wow never thought I would make it to 10 but I'm still kickin and here it is 10 years after that! Unless I die somewhere in between now and Thursday! Well I had a long life anyway. My philosophy is when it happens it happens, it was just my time! Lets see what have I never done that most have by the time they were 20:
1. Broken a bone (although I have had kidney stones and most of us stoners are really old)
2. Gotten a speeding ticket (just a ticket for expired sticker, stupid cop with binoculars)
3. Gone to Disneyland/world (that's just plain neglect on my parents part)
well this is taking a while to think about and I'm not one to sit around thinking all day so... I'm done I guess I've just done a lot of crap! Well be sure and send in your presents soon! I'm all out of things to say so.... Later!
